Qaaid S. Fuller, of the 5000 block of Mebus St. in Philadelphia, has been charged by the Abington Police Department with four felony counts and a warrant has been issued for his arrest, according to police.

Fuller faces four felony charges of forgery, theft by unlawful taking or disposition, receiving stolen property and theft by deception, according to police, related to stolen checks from a senior living center.

Officers opened an investigation after receiving a report of theft from Rydal Park, 1515 The Fairway in the Jenkintown section of Abington Township. Rydal Park houses hundreds of residents and management became aware that personal checks belonging to at least 20 residents had been stolen from the management office, according to police.

The checks – to be used to pay residents' rent – were placed in an after-hours drop, but the drop box was wide enough for someone to reach their arm inside, according to police. Management was made aware of the issue after those resident’s rent were not received and overdue, said the police criminal complaint.

As part of the investigation, police said they reviewed video footage from various financial institutions and found that several checks were deposited into various bank accounts in the amounts of: $9,819.24, $6,952.03, $6,814 and $9,819.24. These checks were deposited at PNC, Citizens Bank and the Police and Fire Federal Credit Union. The suspect made deposits from Oct. 19 to Oct. 22, police said.

The investigation led to the man being identified as Fuller, who is an employee of Rydal Park and had access to the drop box from the main office, according to police.
