When Eagles fans close their eyes and imagine their star running back dashing through the snow against the Rams on Sunday, the visuals probably look a lot like the 2013 game between the Birds and the Lions.
Football. Weather. Rules. ❄️

LeSean McCoy rushed for a then-franchise record 217 yards in that game. A similar effort from Saquon Barkley this week probably gives the Eagles a victory.
So if McCoy has advice on how to prepare for the inclement weather expected in Philadelphia during the game (picking the right cleats, for example), Barkley is all ears.
"Definitely going to call Shady just in case we do get some snow," Barkley told reporters Friday. "See what he did because it don't make sense how he was able to cut in that snow. You could just see he was on a whole different level."
Barkley broke McCoy's single-game rushing record earlier this season against this same Rams team, marauding his way through defenders for 255 yards on 26 carries in Week 12. That game was played on the Rams' pristine field in Cali, but the Eagles should be expected to lean on the run on any field and under any conditions.
Shady certainly believes in Barkley's Birds. On Friday, he made a $50,000 bet on the game with ex-Rams superstar Aaron Donald.

$50,000 can buy a lot of rock salt.
