The Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust (PERT) is asking for the public’s help in its mission to raise funds in order to purchase the June Fete Fairground.
The organization announced that all proceeds from the 6th annual Earth Day Trail Run, held on Saturday, April 26 at 9 a.m., 2955 Edge Hill Rd., will go toward the acquisition and maintenance of that land.
“The Trust has had a stellar year! You can help us make this one even better … You can choose to run/walk 10K, 5K, or one mile. Please sign up and secure your spot!” PERT said.
According to the website, registration for the 5K Trail Run opens on Jan. 27 at 10:20 a.m. Registration for the one-mile walk opens on Jan. 27 at 3:45 p.m. There are 300 spots available for both races. Prices for each race are $30 for members and $35 for non-members.
Registration for the 10K Trail Run opens on Feb. 2. at 9:17 p.m. Registration costs are $40 for members and $45 for non-members.

All entry fees come with complimentary t-shirt. You can guarantee your size by March 21. Children 12 and under are free. Refreshments and prizes will be given out after the race.
