Are you looking to give back to the community in 2025? Then the Upper Moreland Fire Department might be the place to look.
The Upper Moreland Fire Department is looking to bolster its numbers in 2025, and its looking for more firefighters to join its rescue squad, too. Volunteers are sought to help lead a new generation of firefighters, and no experience is necessary. Upper Moreland Fire Department will provide free training and gear to those who are interested in making a difference in the community.
“When you’re on the truck and you see the orange glow of the fire you’re heading to in the air, the adrenaline rush is phenomenal,” said Firefighter Bud Tucker. “You’re going to help somebody at the worst time of their life.”
With increased numbers, the township is “forging a cutting-edge department that excels in emergency response tailored to the needs of the Upper Moreland community,” according to its website.
