Nicholas Brigham, of the 400 block of W Winona Street of Philadelphia, faces two felony counts of receiving stolen property and fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, according to police.
According to the Abington Police Department, an officer observed a gray 2010 Honda Accord in the area of Fox Chase Road and Cedar Road on Saturday, Feb. 1. A check of the registration revealed the vehicle to be stolen out of Philadelphia on Jan. 5, according to police.
After activating his lights, the operator (the male later identified as Brigham) willfully refused to stop the vehicle and attempted to flee the area at high speed and elude police contact, according to police.
The vehicle was located a short time later with Brigham in the driver’s seat and the key placed in the ignition, according to police. The vehicle owner confirmed that she did not authorize Brigham to operate the vehicle, according to police.
