Abington police officer discovers illegally possessed, loaded Ruger EC9s 9mm handgun during traffic stop, according to police

Tamika Alisha Dubose, 34, of the 1900 block of Philadelphia, faces one felony count related to illegally possessing a firearm, according to police.

According to the Abington Police Department, on Jan. 16 around 12:35 p.m., an officer observed a gold Chrysler sedan traveling westbound on Mt. Carmel Ave. The car had window tint on its side windows and rear windshield, according to police. Additionally, there was a large crack in the front windshield, according to police. 

An officer initiated a traffic stop and Dubose was found to be in possession of a loaded Ruger EC9s 9mm handgun, according to police. Dubose’s concealed carry privileges were revoked since August 2022, according to police.
