Police charge female with felony retail theft at Willow Grove Mall, male suspect drives off, police say

Dana Pace, 36, of the 2400 block of 77th Ave. of Philadelphia, has been charged with one felony count of retail theft.

According to the Abington Police Department, security from Macy’s at the Willow Grove Mall contacted the police after they – via security cameras – observed Pace select the following unpaid merchandise in a re-useable Target bag: 

  • Chanel Coco set: $198
  • Dolce and Gabbana set: $149

A male who with Pace selected a Rabanne Men’s set valued at $130, according to police.

According to police, the total value concealed in the bag was valued at $477.

Security attempted to detain both the male and Pace, who were both uncooperative, according to police, pulling and pushing away from security. The male fled to a vehicle and drove off the property while Pace was detained, according to police. Pace was found in possession of the stolen property, according to police. Pace has two prior convictions for retail theft, according to police.
