Emergency responders dispatched to vehicle rescue Sunday after driver flips car under bridge

Emergency responders had to rescue at least one occupant from a car the flipped under a bridge in Abington Township near Washington Lane and Susquehanna Road Sunday afternoon.

The call came in around 3:09 p.m. for a report of a car "smushed pretty bad" with heavy entrapment under a bridge in the Rydal section of the township, per Montgomery County emergency dispatch reports.

The rescue was complete by 3:18 p.m.

Responding units included McKinley Fire Co., Weldon Fire Co., Rockledge Fire Co., Abington Fire Co., and Second Alarmers Rescue Squad Substation 382-6, per Montgomery County dispatch.
