An Abington Township resident was fatally shot while sitting inside a vehicle in North Philadelphia Monday night, according to a report.
Philadelphia police identified the victim as 39-year-old Dion Travis Abraham. Investigators said Abraham suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his chest and legs.
Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of North 17th Street near Erie Avenue at about 8 p.m. after receiving a report of a person with a gun. When police arrived, they found Abraham inside a parked silver 2008 Nissan Maxima.
He was transported to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation remains ongoing. Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Philadelphia Police Department’s tip line at 215-686-TIPS.
A reward of up to $20,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
