Upper Moreland Township police responded to a reported theft in progress at the Walmart on Blair Mill Road on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025, resulting in a felony charge, according to police.

Officers were dispatched to the store located at 2101 Blair Mill Road after Walmart loss prevention reported suspected shoplifting. Upon arrival, police observed a loss prevention employee in the parking lot, who pointed out two women believed to be involved in the theft.

Police identified the suspects as Elizabeth Pough, and a second actor. Officers said they observed the women transferring items from a shopping cart into a gold Buick Lucerne parked in the lot. When questioned, Pough was unable to produce a receipt for the merchandise, and the other woman admitted the items had not been paid for.

Store surveillance video allegedly showed both women placing items into a shopping cart and Pough pushing the cart past all points of sale without paying.

Police noted that Pough has two prior retail theft convictions. Based on the investigation, charges were requested against Pough, who will be summoned to appear in court to answer to the allegations.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 20, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. before Judge Thomas P. Murt.
