The Abington School District is inviting residents, families, and staff to participate in a community survey as part of the planning and design process for a new Abington Middle School.
Following voter approval of the middle school referendum in May, the project has officially moved into the design phase. District leaders say community feedback will play a critical role in shaping the final plans for the new building, ensuring it reflects the needs and priorities of students, educators, and the broader Abington community.
The anonymous survey, which takes approximately 10 to 12 minutes to complete, asks participants to share their thoughts on educational priorities, building design considerations, and overall expectations for the new school. Respondents may select a “Not sure/prefer not to answer” option for any question they are unsure about or do not wish to answer.
From the outset, the Board of School Directors and district leadership have emphasized a commitment to community involvement throughout the project. District officials say the survey represents the next step in that engagement process and will help guide key decisions as design work continues.
Community members are encouraged to complete the survey by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026. Additional information about the Abington Middle School project, along with ongoing updates, can be found on the district’s dedicated website at www.OneASDOneFuture.org
Residents interested in contributing their perspectives are encouraged to participate and help shape a learning environment designed to serve Abington students for generations to come.
