Weldon Fire Company of Glenside reported that its Rescue 300 crew assisted the Abington Fire Company during a vehicle rescue on the 2100 block of Moreland Road in Willow Grove (Upper Moreland Township) on Thursday.
The call came in shortly after 3:00 p.m., prompting multiple agencies to respond to the scene.
According to the department, firefighters from both companies worked in close coordination to stabilize the vehicles involved in the crash, ensuring the scene was safe enough for emergency personnel to reach the trapped occupant. Once stabilization was complete, the crews used specialized rescue tools to carefully extricate the patient from the damaged vehicle.
Weldon Fire Company noted that the operation highlighted the strong partnership between neighboring fire departments, with teamwork playing a crucial role in the safe and efficient rescue.
