Milling, paving operations will cause double lane closures in Abington

The work will take place near the intersection with Edge Hill Road in Abington Township

  • Local

A third-party contractor working on behalf of SEPTA is scheduled to conduct milling and paving work on Thursday, Dec. 11, between 7:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m.. at the Ardsley Station grade crossing on Jenkintown Road,

The work will take place near the intersection with Edge Hill Road in Abington Township. This maintenance is intended to improve the roadway surface and ensure that the grade of the pavement aligns properly with the adjoining rail crossing, enhancing both safety and ride quality for motorists.

To complete the work efficiently and safely, double lane closures will be implemented in each direction, though only one direction will be restricted at a time. Drivers should expect temporary traffic shifts and are advised to follow all posted signs and instructions from work crews when traveling through the area.

SEPTA notes that this roadway work will not affect service on the Warminster Regional Rail Line, which will continue to operate on its regular schedule.
