Driver crashes into brick pillar outside FedEx building in Abington Township, according to reports

Abington Township emergency crews responded Tuesday to a vehicle crash in front of the FedEx building on the 600 block of Old York Road at Cloverly Plaza. 

According to officials, a driver struck a brick pillar near the building’s entrance around 11:41 a.m., prompting a rapid response from police, fire, and medical personnel.

First responders were able to safely evacuate the driver from the vehicle. No immediate information was released regarding injuries.

Due to the nature of the collision, the Abington Township Fire Marshal and Code Enforcement officers were called to the scene to assess the structure for potential damage. They are working to determine whether the impact compromised the integrity of the brick pillar or surrounding areas of the building.

The incident remains under review while authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
