The Upper Dublin Medals Planning Committee is pleased to announce that nominations are now being accepted for the 42nd annual Upper Dublin Medals Program, which recognizes outstanding Upper Dublin community members. Beginning this year, the nomination period will open earlier to give the community additional time to prepare thoughtful and detailed submissions. Due no later than Monday, March 17, 2026, nominations are sought in the following categories:

  • Citizen
  • Educator
  • Community Business or Non-profit Organization

To submit a nomination, please fill out the UD Medals Nomination Form.

The Upper Dublin Medals Program honors exceptional members of the Upper Dublin community in the following categories:

  • Citizen
  • Educator
  • Community Business or Non-profit Organization
  • Student Leadership Award (2 students)

Honorees will be announced in mid-April and honored at the 42nd Annual Upper Dublin Medals Ceremony on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. The community is warmly invited to attend this special event.

Nomination Process

Nominations for the program are submitted by the community to recognize outstanding individuals and organizations in our community. To ensure our selection committees can make well-informed decisions, all nominations should be thorough, well-documented, and thoughtfully prepared. Strong submissions should highlight the nominee’s achievements, contributions, and qualifications in detail, as selections will be based solely on the information provided. Nominations are currently open for the 2026 Medals program.

Important: If you previously nominated someone who was not selected, we strongly encourage you to update and resubmit their nomination. Past nominations are not automatically reconsidered and must be resubmitted to be eligible. However, beginning this year, nominations submitted in the Citizen and Business/Non-Profit categories in 2026 will now be retained for two years (the year of submission plus one additional year). Nominators will be contacted to provide updates as needed. Nominations in the Educator category will not carry over and must be resubmitted each year.

Additionally, previous Upper Dublin Medals winners cannot be honored again in the same category.

Criteria

To be considered, nominated candidates must meet the designated criteria.

Selection Committee

Each selection committee is made up of individuals from various community groups who review all nominations and meet collectively to select the recipient in their category. For the Student Leadership Awards, nominations are solicited from the high school staff through a separate process.
