An employee who worked at the Walmart in Willow Grove was arrested after store loss prevention staff reported multiple incidents of retail theft, according to police.
Officers responded to the store around 1:07 a.m., where Walmart security informed police that they had reviewed surveillance footage showing employee Aaron Latney, 27, of the 5800 block of Brush Road in Philadelphia, concealing merchandise and leaving the store without paying on multiple dates.
According to the store, the thefts occurred as follows:
Nov. 10, 2025: Latney allegedly concealed four electronic items totaling $782.
Nov. 11, 2025: He allegedly concealed an additional electronic item valued at $339.
In total, Walmart reported a loss of $1,121.
Latney, who was still on-site when police arrived, was taken into custody without incident. A check through NCIC showed he had no prior retail theft convictions. Charges are expected to be filed through the appropriate district court.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 9, 2026 at 8:15 am before Judge Thomas P. Murt.
