The 40 shades of green are still with us on these late summer days and the Montgomery County Saint Patrick’s Day Parade Committee is already working on the 2026 Saint Patrick’s Parade in Conshohocken that will take place on March 14, 2026 at 2 pm. This will be the 20th anniversary for the parade in Conshohocken and it seems like each year more people keep on coming to Conshy.
Nominations are now being accepted to the parade committee for Grand Marshal. To be nominated you must be a resident of Montgomery County, be of Irish blood by birth or descent and have had contributed to the community.
All nominations must be typed or hand written. No emails will be accepted. Deadline for the nomination letters is Friday, October 10th. These letters must be at the address of 719 Pershing Street, Bridgeport, Pa 19405 by the October 10th date. Any letters received after this date will not be accepted.
The announcement of the 2026 Grand Marshal will take place on November 15 at the Norristown Maenner Chor Club, 920 Haws Avenue in Norristown. Last year it was a packed house celebration for Jackie Rittenhouse when her name was announced for the 2025 Grand Marshal.
The parade committee has already set dates and locations for the upcoming events related to the parade. Right now, 50/50 tickets are being sold by parade committee members and at other locations to help support the parade. Look for them at the Fun-Fest in Conshy on Saturday September 20th.
As the parade gets bigger there are more expenses. The support of the Community and Conshohocken has been great but the committee has to keep plugging away to fund the parade which is one of the biggest community events in Montgomery County. This will kick off our parade fundraising in conjunction with the Saint Patrick’s Half Way Party on September 27th at the Maenner Chor Club. This fundraiser will be open to the public to help raise funds for the parade. Look for tickets on sale and any updates for the parade on the Facebook page of Saint Patrick’s Parade in Conshy.
The Irish Coffee Contest that drew a massive crowd last year will again return to the Swedeland Fire Company on March 12th. The past and current grand marshals will taste test for the best Irish Coffee winner. Swedesburg Fire Company took first prize in 2025 so they will be defending their title.
The Elmwood Par Zoo Banquet Room will again be the location for the 2026 Grand Marshal’s Ball. The Zoo has been a wonderful location over the years, and the parade committee is very happy to return to this venue yearly for the professional hospitality they provide for the Grand Marshal’s Ball.
The big day of the Saint Patrick’s Parade will be on March 14th with a 2 pm start at 11th and Fayette Streets and all the bands have already been contacted. This one-mile parade has attracted people from the Tri-County area and the word is out! It’s a great parade that everyone enjoys especially the kids.
The Montgomery County Saint Patrick’s Parade thanks everyone for the support over the twenty years. Financially with sponsors, purchasing shirts and tickets. Everything helps including your attendance at the parade and parade events.
So let’s get your green on for the Half Way Party to kick things off on September 27.
