Hectic back to school days are back so make sure you practice self-care and pencil in some fun for the whole family this week.


Don’t miss the 59th Polish American Festival in Doylestown this week. Celebrate the Polish culture and enjoy some outdoor fun.


On Tuesday, stop by City Winery in Philadelphia for a night with Bossa Nova Noites: Monique Elen and Larry Williams. Also, this week, celebrate the end of summer with a special end of summer luau-themed party at Well Crafted in Ambler.


If a night of laughs is what you need, then be sure to stop by the Stove and Tap in Lansdale on Saturday for a night of comedy hosted by Erin Dohony of The Lab.


More live music is also on tap with Will Paquette Acoustic at The Patio at Horsham and the Shark Sandwich Duo at The Dutch in Skippack.


If you are around the Havertown area on Wednesday, plan on stocking up on fresh produce at the Oakmont Farmers Market, and don’t miss your chance to see Cabaret by Joseph Masteroff at Playcrafters in Skippack Village.

 


Polish American Family Festival and Country Fair


On Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31, the 59th Polish American Family Festival and Country Fair is returning to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa.

Come out to celebrate Polish history, music, crafts, food and so much more. The festival will also be open September 1, 6, and 7. Tickets are $15 a person.

Bossa Nova Noite at City Winery


On Tuesday, August 26, 7:30 p.m., don’t miss a fun night of live music and good wine with Bossa Nova Noites at City Winery in Philadelphia.

The night of Brazilian beats will feature Monique Elen & Larry Williams with a special appearance by Najee and special guests Frank McComb and Robert Irving III.

‘Cabaret’ at Playcrafters 


On Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31, 8 p.m., Playcrafters will be presenting Cabaret by Joseph Masteroff.

The musical masterpiece centers on the lives of Berlin’s natives and expatriates during the beginning of Germany’s Third Reich.

Shark Sandwich Duo at The Dutch


On Thursday, August 28, 5 p.m., the Shark Sandwich Duo will be stopping by The Dutch Tavern in Skippack.

Self-described as “a rock band with a bite,” the Shark Sandwich is a favorite local cover band.
