Emergency crews respond to fire on roof at Simon's Steaks in Abington Township

Emergency crews responded to a building fire at Simon Steaks in Abington Township Thursday at 7:26 p.m.

A fire reportedly broke out on the roof of the restaurant, 1062 Tyson Avenue, and crews needed to utilize a fire hydrant to help put out the flames, according to Montgomery County Dispatch.

To help necessitate the safety of its residents, police shut down Tyson Avenue at Easton Road and Susquehanna Road.

Emergency crews from Roslyn Fire Company, Weldon Fire Company, Abington Fire Company, Fort Washington Fire Company, and Enterprise Company of Hatboro were called out to the scene.
