Police say the two have entered the historical site three times since September

The Cheltenham Township Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two individuals suspected for a repeat burglary incident.

Police said that these two individuals, who appear in images with hooded shirts, face coverings, and backpacks, as they are believed to be responsible for three different burglaries at Lynnwood Hall.

The Hall, located at 920 Spring Ave. within the township, has had three different incidents occur since September 22, 2024. The hall is maintained by a preservation foundation in its name, which works to keep its deep history intact. According to the group’s website, the mansion is a symbol of both the American Gilded Age and the American Dream, as it holds the story of Peter A.B. Widener and his “rags to riches” story.

Police said that the incidents have all occurrence “for all three jobs” between 3 and 6 a.m. Police said that they believe the two actors to be male.

According to the department’s Facebook page, the two appear to enter and exit the property from the area of Spring Avenue and Dixon Lane. Police reported that small items were reported missing from the building and that additional damages related to the burglaries have occurred during the incidents, and the cost has been in excess of $2,000.
