Emergency responders are tending to a vehicle accident in Upper Moreland Township Sunday evening, and those at the scene reported the need for an extraction.
According to the county’s computer-aided dispatch, a call was received around 7:16 p.m. at Easton Road and Home Depot Drive, in the Willow Grove area within the township for a vehicle rescue. EMS, fire, and police are responding to the scene.
The Second Alarmers Rescue Squad, substation at South York Road of Hatboro, has responded to the scene, as well as the Upper Moreland Township Fire Department, among other units.
Those at the scene said that a black Dodge Caravan and silver-colored van have collided. A tow truck has been requested for each vehicle. The driver’s side door on the dark van has been removed to extract a driver. The front-end of the silver van has heavy damage.
There is reported debris across the roadway, and an absorbent dust has been spread to indicate a likely fuel spill as a result of the collision. Easton Road has been closed at Home Depot Drive. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
