Upper Moreland Township roads are to be under construction until early November.
According to a recent release from PennDOT, the drivers in and around Upper Moreland may have an additional headache starting mid-October that won’t end for over a month. The work, slated for Blair Mill Road, between Easton Road (Route 611) and Gibraltar Road, will be done to improve the surfaces.
The weekday work is scheduled to take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a final day roughly scheduled until Friday, Nov. 8. Drivers are asked to provide extra time in the area, as the traffic will be backed up and delays are expected.
As always, PennDOT improvements are weather-dependent, which may mean delays in project plans.
“Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras,” explains the PennDOT release. “511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.”
The app is designed to keep drivers informed of any unexpected changes in schedules, not to mention road conditions in the state.
