Loosely defined, it is a phrase meaning “to cause a great commotion.” But it turns out, it’s actually named after the founder’s yellow lab. Either way, it probably beats his first suggestion of “Sockeye’s,” which he almost selected after fishing in Alaska.
At the end of the day it was Founder Todd Grave’s pick of “Raising Cane’s” that won out, and it is now turning into quite the household name across the country. And it is certainly winning hearts at its newest location in Willow Grove.
The newest fast-food chain opened its doors last week at its Abington Township spot, located at 2632 W. Moreland Road near the Willow Grove Park Mall.
Famous for its short menu and unique sauce, Raining Cane’s focuses on what it does best: Chicken fingers. In fact, the menu is only that: chicken fingers, fries, drinks. Oh, and you can get the fingers on a bun and call it a sandwich. And that’s it!
The Willow Grove location is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to midnight and Friday through Sunday 10 to 1 a.m. For more information, call the Willow Grove Raising Cane’s at 267-742-3684.
