The Rockledge Borough Police Department has welcomed a new member to its family. Officer Matthew Morse joined the team, and the new addition was welcomed on the station’s social media page.
Morse, 37, comes to the Rockledge team with what acting chief of police, Oscar Horajeckj, called a “wealth of experience.” He previously served at the Wildwood, N.J. Police Department where he’d worked for five years.
Most recently, Morse served with the Marcus Hook Police Department in Delaware County. He has a degree in criminal justice from Southern New Hampshire University and was described as “deeply committed to serving and protecting our community.”
In addition to his professional life, Morse is also a “devoted family man,” according to the post. He is happily married with a 5-year-old son.
“We’re thrilled to have him on board,” said Horajeckj. “We know he will be an incredible asset to our community.”
