It is here, and you only have until Dec. 14 to find an open night. Booking your tickets early is recommended, because once the word gets out, they are not going to last. Astra Lumina Philadelphia is currently staged at the Abington Art Center, 515 Meetinghouse Road, in Jenkintown!

Sprawled amongst the center’s Sculpture Park, the Astra Lumina exhibit created by Moment Factory and Fever, uses a series of light, scenography, original soundscape, and projection to create an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind imaginative world of art. Immersive doesn’t even begin to describe this exhilarating experience.

Created to be a “visit from the stars,” this rare chance to walk among them invites those of all ages to walk a path of luminous orbs. Brilliant colors, memorizing movements, and creative shapes, these lights become more than just art, it “invites stargazers to set off across the Garden’s celestial pathway to encounter the wonder of the stars and embrace their own human light.”

In total, the night walks span one mile of walking. A gravel pathway has been constructed to assist visitors’ ability to walk through the sculpture park. Typical experiences last 45 to 60 minutes in total.

Limited parking is available at the venue, and preferred parking is located across the street at 450 Meetinghouse Road in Jenkintown. Offsite parking can also be found at Manor College, 700 Fox Chase Road, Jenkintown, with a shuttle routinely transporting guests every ten minutes to and from the site.

Tickets start at $29 for adults and $21 for children. Children aged 4 and under are free to enter. Specialized packages are also being sold with various features included, such as parking costs, souvenirs, or group sales. Discounts are offered for seniors, students, and military. There are also family bundles or group bundles, depending on your party’s size.

Tickets are dated and must be used on the date they are purchased for, with choices available from 5:15 to 8 p.m. for starting times. The exhibit is open on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights only, and the Astra Lumina: Enchanted Night Walk Amongst the Stars is only here until Dec. 14.
