An Elkins Park developer may soon be the owner of a local mall, reportedly with the hopes of revitalizing.
According to a report in the Philadelphia Business Journal, by Paul Schwedelson, on Nov. 7, the Exton Square Mall is in the process of being sold. Abrams Realty and Development, based in Elkins Park, is already in the process of acquiring Exton Square Mall.
The article states that Abbrams aims to demolish portions of the mall, but also add residential units amongst other uses for the space. The mall is currently owned by PREIT, which also operates the Cherry Hill Mall and the Willow Grove Park.
